Vicki Golden became the first woman to compete in Monster Energy AMA Supercross.

Southern California girl, Vicki Golden became the first woman to compete in Monster Energy AMA Supercross.

Vicki Golden began racing at the age of seven after seeing her brother and father race. At that age she had to race with the boys because there wasn’t enough girls to create a separate class. Her carrer took off at the age of 16 when she raced the AMA Loretta Lynn’s amateur Championship and won the Women’s Amatuer National Title. In the same year she earned her AMA/WMX Pro License.

Her list of acommplishments are extensive, and impressive. Here’s just a few of those. In 2009 she was named Female Motocross Rookie of the year by TransWorld magazine. In 2011 she became the first female to break the top 10 in AMA Arena Cross Lites Main.

That same year Vicki became the first female to qualify for AMA Arena Cross Premier night show. She’s won 3 Gold medals in the Women’s Moto X Racing in the Summer X games. In 2014 she became the first woman to complete Ricky Carmichael’s road to Supercross. Then on May 2, 2015, she became the first woman to compete in Monster Energy AMA Supercross! And she is nowhere near being done yet. From Southern California, USA Vicki Golden!

This is a huge victory for Vicki and all woman who race, the door has been knocked down, and is now wide open!
