The Oropesa de Toledo participated this weekend in the Grand Prix of Valencia as a wildcard, where it has released its jump to the World Moto3 next season hand Calvo Team.
The World Motorcycle Championship this weekend came to an end. On three occasions we have been enjoying Maria Herrera in the championship, earlier this year in Jerez, where he starred in a brilliant weekend signing a seventeenth place. Then came the GP of Catalonia where there were so lucky and I can not finish by a fall and the latter, in Valencia.
Surely this Grand Prix has been bittersweet for Mary, on one hand a complicated weekend, with fall Saturday in the qualifying and having to finish the race with broken shift lever in the first round. Still starred an intense struggle with Locatelli and finished 27th. The sweetest part, was the news that Mary will jump to Mundial in 2015 by the Team Calvo, with whom it contracts for two seasons and on a Husqvarna official, a bike that, taking into account the results he had with the KTM, full of enthusiasm and eager.
Maria Herrera: “Today's race, it was not what I expected, breakage of the lever from the first round has not given me more options, but I'm happy, because even in those conditions I rode fast. Regarding signing with Team Calvo, I'm very excited about this opportunity and I'm already looking forward. I'm happy with the change, because I think I will come in handy, mainly because I think this bike is very well suited to my style. Last year I felt very comfortable and I think he has received several evolutions this season, so it will be a very competitive bike. Also the team I love and believe that together we can do great work. It is a two year project that will help me be more relaxed when it comes to search results. And of course I want to thank Repsol because they have always supported me”.
